Defence
All quotations of Geert Wilders specified in the writ of summons fall within the constitutional and conventional boundaries of the freedom of speech. Hence, Geert Wilders did not commit any criminal act. Indeed, the only thing he did was to tell the truth. Geert Wilders must therefore be acquitted. If a member of parliament can no longer say what it is all about, if a democratically elected parliamentarian can no longer criticise a frightening ideology, then we are all lost. Then our democratic rule of law will be nothing more than a farce.
